Ian writes....

"Here are a few sites that you might enjoy. Several of them reflect my favourite musical artists, others are just great sites! Have a browse and see what you think- to access them just click on the image next to the description.

If you would like your site to appear then please contact me. There will be no fee...as long as you put a mutual link on your site ;-) "

Simplexity: Clev's latest musical venture, whose debut album was released in April 2008. Click on the logo, the cover of their debut album Time Stood Still, to go to their website.
Odd@Ease: this is the website for the band that Ian plays in. You will find interesting info on the band members, details of their recordings, and many more things about them that will make your life complete.

St Thomas The Martyr Parish Church: this is my local parish church in Up Holland, Lancashire. I get involved in several activities here, one of which is with our youth band, the Dare To Be Different Band.

i-sound.com: a site dedicated to unsigned, independent artists who allow some of their work to be freely available to the global market. I have released some of my tracks through this outlet, and can hear 3 tracks in their entirety. Clicking on the logo opposite will take you straight to my page on this site.
House for Rent in Florida: this house has recently been purchased by some good friends of mine and you can rent it out for those Disney trips at very reasonable rates. Just mention my name...and the rates will probably double! Click on the photo to have a browse and book a week or two.
Music For The Media: any budding film and TV composers should take this Diploma course - I am in middle of it at the moment! You are set a series of real life assignments for every possible genre in the soundtrack world (film, TV theme, adverts, computer games, corporate video, etc., etc.) and receive detailed feedback from a high-profile, working composer. Click on the logo to find out more (or e-mail me and I'll tell you how good it is!)
Phil Beer: multi-instrumentalist, producer, one half of internationally acclaimed acoustic duo Show Of Hands, etc., etc.. It was Phil's David Oddy built instruments I was playing that made me decide I had to have my own! He also features on one of Odd@Ease singles doing a fiddle solo. His site gives you a great feel for his love of many kinds of music.
Joe Jackson: Joe has been a massive inspiration to me over the years. If you think my solo stuff covers many styles, it is probably Joe's influence in that he never likes to stick to one style too long, but is equally never afraid to return. Whilst this is not the official site (click here for that one!), it has loads of interesting stuff about the maestro.
Play.com: no other reason for putting this as a link other than I think the prices and service is great and it's where I get most of my DVDs from (anything for more discount!).
eBay.co.uk: a great worldwide market place for just about anything. I am selling some of my old vinyl and videos from time to time so keep on checking in to see what's available. Click on the 'search' button and then on the 'by seller' tab. Type in ianclev and see what comes up....
Mid Life Crisis: no, not my state of mind (though some may say different.... Ed.). This is a great covers band based in Oldham. Five great guys playing great tunes who do it to have a great time but more importantly to raise a great amount of money for local charities. Have a look at their site for more details.I will be performing with them at Shaw Playhouse, Oldham on Feb 21st 2009.
Tony Levin: in my view the world's best bassist. I came across him through his work with Peter Gabriel over the years (yes - he's responsible for that gorgeous bass work on Don't Give Up by PG and Kate Bush). He is also a regular fixture in King Crimson. He is a keen diarist and photographer, and his website gives great behind the scenes info on all things Gabriel - there's a great diary of last year's summer European Tour.
Nickel Creek: can't say I've been a big fan of bluegrass and country over the years, but these 3 youngsters are among the most talented musicians I've heard in many years! Their music is typecast as bluegrass and new country...but don't let that put you off! The site contains some great audio and video links of their work. Well worth checking out - Thanks to Kevin for introducing me to them! They are no longer together but if you love acoustic music, check out their 3 albums.
Top Of The Pops 2: a definite sign of getting old is that you much prefer TOTP2 to TOTP1. This part of the BBC website is literally packed with music trivia, clips, quizzes, etc.. Well worth a look before you head off to that pub quiz...
Cleverdons Estate Agency: a very slick site from Devon, the original birthplace of the Cleverdon name. Gary Cleverdon founded this successful business in the 1990's, which is based in Crediton, Devon. You never know, they might just have that Devonian property you've always been looking for!
Chris Tinsley Estate Agents: Whilst we are on the subject of houses, here's the one in Southport formed by me old school mate! Formed in 2001 by Chris, an Associate of the National Association of Estate Agents, resident of Southport, and with fifteen years of valuing and selling property in the Southport area. This exciting new company offers you a better way to buy or sell your property (sounds like a good advert to me!)
Simesco Ltd: Simon Phillips, friend, business acquaintance and all-round good egg, is an absolute whizz on time management. His recent book, Time Management 24/7 is great proof of this. He has a superb website that has loads of help on such matters....if only I had time to look at it!
1st Ashton Scouts: this links page would not be complete without a link to my mate Chris Gaskell's troop (almost typed 'toop' but he has a full head of hair, honest). Based in Ashton-in-Makefield, Lancashire, the site shows you what they get up to. the site is designed by Chris and is a great example to all you web designers out there....
Mike Oldfield: last but by no means least, the fan tribute site to the man who inspired me to pick the guitar up in the first place! This is not the official site (click here for that) but it has loads more info on it....some of it very anorak-like as you might imagine...
Please e-mail me if you would like a link placed here
